Matilda (GA) is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix rescued in Georgia. Our veterinary partner estimates that Matilda is 12-15 weeks old at the time of intake in September 2023. Matilda is good with people and other dogs. Matilda was apparently roughed up for some time before her abuser decided to set her free by placing her in a trash bag and throwing her from a moving car. Fortunately, a good samaritan saw that happen and stopped, picked up the bag and was surprised to see Matilda's little head pop out. Matilda had many serious wounds that were infected and riddled with parasites. But we immediately sent Matilda for the veterinary care she so desperately required, and now Matilda is on the road to recovery. But not before losing one ear to the infection. Matilda is great on a leash although sometimes she will insist on being carried back home! She loves the attention that passersby give to her. Matilda spent some time as a city girl and she was great, so city or country—it doesn’t matter to this versatile pup! Although Matilda sleeps quietly in her comfy crate next to her foster Mom and Dad, she is not a fan of being left in the crate during the day. She is still working on mastering that. Matilda loves to snuggle up in her foster Mom’s lap and grab some shuteye. She is a gorgeous, exceptionally sweet, happy pup who deserves a loving family who will cherish her forever.
