Brook (TN) is a neutered male Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be a year old at the time of intake in September 2023. Brook is good with people, other dogs and even cats. He is kid-approved too! What a story Brook has to tell: Brook was brought into a southern shelter emaciated and with his ears hacked off.  An emaciated Pit Bull in a southern shelter doesn't have much of a chance of getting out alive, but when Brook ended up in the euthanasia room, it was his dehydrated and emaciated state that saved his life. The technician could not get the kill needle into a vein, so they gave up and decided to try again the next day. It was in between those days that we found Brook and pulled him out before they could try to kill him again. It's obvious that Brook has not enjoyed the best of lives thus far, and we promised him that the rest of his life will make up for the atrocious start of his life. Brook is a handsome southern gentleman who is super, super sweet. He is an easy dog who is very gentle. Brook will make a great family dog.
