Betty Boop (TX) is a female Chihuahua mix rescued in Texas. Our veterinary partner estimates that Betty Boop is a 4 year old at the time of intake in November 2023.  Betty Boop is good with people and other dogs.  Betty was found running the streets where she was going to spend the holidays but we snatched her up and instead she got the medical care she needed.  She realized running around by herself was for the birsd so she packed her bags and headed North. She is doing great at her foster home and is already getting quite a bit of attention for her signature tri-color coat (which is growing in nicely), as well as her mismatched and immensely oversized ears. What Betty lacks in size, she more than makes up for in personality! Betty gets along with every human and dog she meets – both big and small. She loves to be pet, snuggled and smooched. She enjoys behind the ear scratches and belly rubs most of all. She regularly cuddles up on the couch next to the nearest person or dog she can find. She is fond of playtime with other dogs and frequently indulges in chew toys while hanging out in her dog bed. Betty is the perfect gal on the go. She enjoys short walks outside and walks well on leash. She is crate trained and although she doesn't mind it she prefers to sleep in bed with her humans - buried beneath the blankets. In atypical chihuahua fashion, Betty is not super chatty. She may let out a bark at an unexpected knock at the door, or some happy yips during play time, but that’s about it.
