River (GA) is a female possibly Labrador Retriever mix estimated to be 8 weeks old at the time of intake in early January 2024. River is up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to placement in her forever home unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time).  River's life started out pretty choppy as at just several weeks old, some monster dropped her in a bag, tied it up and left River in the bag on a bridge somewhere. Fortunately, a good samaritan found River and got her to safety until we could take River into our rescue. River is a sweetheart who is great with people and other dogs. She is low key, but still a puppy, and quite playful. River is a sassy little girl, who speaks her mind. River's fur is quite dense, almost curly, and her tail curls over her back.
