Iris (MD) is a female Pit Bull Terrier mix estimated to be 7 weeks old at the time of intake in mid-March 2024. Iris is up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) and is microchipped She will be spayed prior to placement in her forever home  unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Iris is good with people and other dogs. Until we took Iris into rescue, she knew nothing but cruelty in her short life. She was removed from a home by Animal Control along with 3 siblings, two of whom were so sick that they didn't make it. Iris is emaciated and just not feeling well, but she is on the road to recovery in the fantastic hands of our veterinary partner. Iris is adorable, sweet and playful, and she can't wait to know what it feels like to be loved.
