Zeke (NC) is a male Retriever mix rescued from a North Carolina kill shelter, where they could not provide the lifesaving medical care for Zeke's injuries after he was shot in face. He is estimated to be a year old in October 2021. In the safety of his foster home, this handsome, super-sweet boy is confident and the biggest snuggle-bug. Outside the home, he is still a little wary and anxious, but he is making progress every day. And he is not a fan of loud noises or sharp movements, so he will do best in a calm home in a quiet suburb. He loves to be close to his people and would like them to be mostly home with him. Zeke does well with other dogs, and when experiencing new things, he follows their lead, so a confident doggy sibling in his forever home is a must. At time of placement, Zeke will be altered, if medically appropriate, and current on basic vaccinations appropriate for his age. If you can love Zeke and give him the happy, safe life he deserves, please apply online to adopt Zeke (NC) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.
