Zena (AL) is a female Shepherd mix estimated to be 5 weeks old at the time of intake in February 2025. Zena is up to date on core vaccinations (age-appropriate) and is microchipped. She will be spayed prior to joining her forever family unless there is a medical reason why it has not yet been completed (in which case RDR NYC will work with the adopter to ensure this is done at the appropriate time). Zena is good with people of all ages and other dogs. Zena found herself stuck in a kill shelter after having been born into a hoarding situation. She was orphaned immediately when her Momma was euthanized in the shelter. We were able to rescue Zena and her siblings but we are heartbroken that we weren't in time to save their Momma.
