Meet Indy (GA): A Survivor with a Heart of Gold
Indy’s story begins in shadows—huddled under a parked boat, her body raw with infection, her spirit nearly broken. Just nine months old, this beautiful Pit Bull Terrier mix had already endured more pain than most dogs ever will. Her skin was red, oozing, painfully inflamed, and her eyes, too, were clouded with infection. But even through the hurt, Indy never gave up hope. Today, Indy is safe and healing under the care of compassionate veterinary professionals. Her infected skin is already improving, and soon, her soft, glistening fur will grow back—along with her confidence and shine. Despite her heartbreaking start, Indy is one of the sweetest, most gentle souls you'll ever meet. She greets every visitor with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart, ready to soak up love and affection. Indy is looking for a family that will show her that the world can be kind. She deserves a home filled with warmth, cuddles, and endless belly rubs—a place where her resilient spirit can finally rest easy. Indy is more than a rescue—she’s a radiant reminder of how love can heal. Be the happy ending to her story. RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue. All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
