We got a late plea from the shelter asking if we could possibly save him. We couldn't say no. After a month of around the clock vet care to cure his deep wounds he is ready to come to NY from the south.

We are so impressed by this incredible boy. He's gentle, and eager to please. He goes directly into his crate when directed. He hasn't had a single accident in the house. His favorite activities include anything that allows him to be close by those he trusts. Taka has experienced such horrifying trauma, and it shows. He does well with other dogs, but does take a moment to warm up. He shows absolutely no sign of aggression, just doesn't approach dogs if he does not feel safe. One of Taka's best qualities, is that he looks to his person for reassurance and direction. Once he has it, the most adorable puppy-like personality comes through. He'll get a wild hair and will run circles around the backyard. He's also the best cuddler! He sleeps in the bed all night without a single movement. This guy was built for companionship!

Every dog lover has that dog. One that just stands out. Is the best companion. Taka will be that dog for someone. We're sure of it. And we can't wait.
