Talia is a gorgeous, snow white young lady who is ready for a new start in life. Until recently, she and two housemates knew only a life in the basement, where Talia was bullied and overpowered by the other two dogs. She wasn't able to eat or play. She was emaciated and very fearful of all dogs. In foster she has nearly doubled her weight to a healthy 40lbs. She is crate trained, house trained, knows simple commands, is good on a leash and is very food and treat motivated. She so adores her humans that she wants nothing more than a warm lap to snuggle in and unobstructed cheeks to kiss. She is learning how to play like a dog with her foster brother, an 11 month old easy-going Great Pyrenees. Talia will do best in house without dogs, or an experienced owner who can remind her that not all dogs are mean. Food, toys, bones even treats should not be shared when another dog is present. She immediately believes she has to protect her resources. She has come a long, long way in trusting again, but due to the severity of her abusive past, she has much more to learn. She is incredible with children; she adores children! She did very well at "the spa" for her Fluff and Buff. Cats are untested. Squirrels and rabbits in the yard are ignored! She is young, approximately 1-2 years.
