Peanut (NY) is a 45-50 pound, 7-year-old pittie mix beauty who has waited a long time for the right family. She's a dreamboat!  A true snuggle bug, who loves everyone - young, old, male or female. Peanut is in foster in NYC and has no issue with city noises or dogs on the street. She walks great on a leash, and although she is curious of squirrels and other small wild critters, she doesn't show any prey drive. She LOVES car rides! She does not have any food aggression and does not bark. She navigates stairs a little slower than some, but hey, it's not like she has long legs! She can likely live with other dogs, with slow and proper introductions. If there are children in her forever home, we recommend they be  on the older side: Peanut is on the older side herself and enjoys some quiet time. She will snuggle up at your feet on her blanket. Peanut is a good girl who deserves to have her own furever family! Our adoption team and her current foster are more than happy to speak with you if you are interested in adopting her! Apply here www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org

RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption.

Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
