A volunteer writes:

This little piggy went to market…Blake – or as I call him, my little potbellied pig – is about as cute as they come. From his upturned nose, to his little, stout legs, to his adorable snorts when excited, in no way could I get enough.  Yes, folks, it’s meatball o’clock aka, time to meet Blake! Blake was surrendered to our care and previously lived well with a 3 year-old child. In fact it’s said that our lovebug generally adores little tykes and is “very playful and remains gentle with them no matter what.” I can so picture this little piggy waddling up to his young, human playmate and giving him a quick snort and a kiss. Childlike and full of sweetness himself, they are a perfect pair. While a bit older than he would like (a bit!), Blake still took me in as his friend right from the start. He walked (waddled?) well on his leash and tended to his business right away. Free in a pen Blake never left my side. If I sat, he sat. I hopped up? There’s my little buddy right where I want him. As close to me as possible. My favorite thing about Blake? That’s not easy. What’s my favorite thing about a beautiful, summer’s day? But if forced to answer I would have to say his goofy grin. Give Blake a scratch behind the ear (hint: the right is preferred) and you’ll see what I mean. This little piggy went to market…this little piggy…went all the way home. I sure hope this piggy does.
