In just a few short months Rescue Dogs Rock NYC will be 6 years old!
There have been so very many memories, happy endings, and victories thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, supporters, and veterinary partners. Yes, there have been some minor struggles and there has been some loss, but, the victories far outweigh the losses. And the great news is that we will still be here moving strong and committed to saving lives in the new year of 2021!

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY MONEY WHEN I DONATE?
|
|
The short answer is this: Money not spent on one particular dog is then applied towards the next. Regardless of the outcome of the situation medically, there are still vet bills that need to be paid for that dog, and the following dog coming in. In addition, there are transport fees, licensing fees, collection fees from payment services, and other miscellaneous fees and charges that need paid such as advertisement/marketing.
Our promise to you is that we will always spend your donation in a responsible manner.

1448 dogs and cats were marked adopted in our database in the year 2020.
To date, in almost 6 years, we have logged 7464 animals rescued by our organization.
At any given date or time, we have more than 40 dogs (and perhaps a small population of cats) with veterinarian partners and fosters across the southeast. south, and southwest that are treating and caring for the animals 'in the pipeline' until they are well enough to travel Northeast to rescue.
We have 4 application processing teams: General dogs (animals rescued from the North, Northeast, Southeastern seaboard and south that are over 6 month of age). General puppies under 6 months of age, Texas team both puppy and adult, and Foster team.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC currently has well over 40 volunteers that help with marketing, grants, securing transport, updating the adoption sites with pictures and information, handling medical issues, placing and working with fosters, processing applications, fundraising, posting, and other opportunities. MEET DUMPLING!!
Dumpling is a 60-pound male Bulldog mix rescued in South Carolina. He is around 2.5 yrs old and 65 pounds of mushy faced, ecstatic exhuberance! Dumpling would do best in a home in a semi-rural area with a fenced yard and an experienced owner who can continue to build on his training. Dumpling is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained and knows basic commands. He gets along well with other dogs, with proper introductions, and he is very receptive to training. No cats for Dumpling, thank you! Dumpling is still learning his size, so children with big dog experience would be best. He is a lover -- his kisses are quite sloppy--and he wants nothing more than all your attention & affection in return. Do you have a kiddie pool? That is his favorite!!
