Sandy (GA) is a female Hound mix rescued in Georgia. Our veterinary partner estimated that Sandy was 8-9 weeks old at the time of intake in early May 2023 and at that time she was underweight at 6 lbs. She is a petite girl and prettier than a daisy in the bright sunlight! Sandy is good with people of all ages and other dogs, has been microchipped, is up to date on core vaccines (age appropriate) and will be spayed when medically cleared as large enough to do so. This little puppy was found roaming around the trash storage area of an apartment complex likely foraging for food as she tried to survive on her own on the streets. Sandy was just skin and bones and likely would not have lasted much longer. She has healed and is now living comfortably with her foster while waiting for her forever family to adopt her. Sandy is good with cats, just a little bit nervous around them. She is good on a leash. Sandy is a sweet, smiley girl who will bring so much love to her forever home. If you would like Sandy to grow up as a member of your family, please apply online to adopt Sandy (GA) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org.

RDR's adoption fees include the cost of spay/neuter/microchip at an RDR-approved facility, whether completed before adoption or if deferred because the pet is too young or has a medical issue.  All pets are also current on age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption. Given technical constraints on this database, this pet's location may not be as listed here. We can, however, provide transport support for pets in foster at a considerable distance from the adopter.
